oic..nice to know...its good when u get to learn about things thru a picture..like they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words...maybe u can give a try to tell a story via a picture...:)
Went through your paintings. They are all beautiful. This one caught my attention especially since I was born and raised in the same part of mithila where this style of painting is from. This one is very different from other Madhubani paintings I have seen. Particularly the background and the dress of the lady in the painting. That string around her waist was very interesting. Actually all males in Mithila wear that ( not females) to help them in wearing dhoti in a certain style called "saanchi' style. I read that you saw it on agarbatti packet. Wonderfully done.
Thank you!! Ya I saw it on a packet of agarbatti and it immediately caught my attention, esp the style. Madhubani style is just so artistic and beautiful. Ok, that is nice..I did not know this abt the waistband..Thanks for sharing it!

ya, this pic as printed on an agarbatti packet. That's b'coz this style of painting originated in the Indian State of Bihar.
