Lal Bahadur Shastri


  • Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on October 2, 1904 at Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh. 
  • Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of independent India. Though diminutive in physical stature he was a man of great courage and will. He successfully led country during the 1965 war with Pakistan. 
  • To mobilize the support of country during the war he coined the slogan of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan". Lal Bahadur Sastri also played a key role in India's freedom struggle. 
  • He led his life with great simplicity and honesty and was a great source of inspiration for all the countrymen.

CD fish

Hii! this is a tiny piece of craft. I used a waste CD and plastic sheet.
Two buttons were used for eyes of the fish.

Nelson Mandela



Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on 18 July 1918 and served as president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, and was the first South African president to be elected in a fully representative democratic election. Before his presidency, Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and the leader of  the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). In 1962 he was arrested and convicted of sabotage and other charges, and sentenced to life in prison. Mandela served 27 years in prison. Mandela has received more than 250 awards over four decades, including the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 1993.
